Abigail Briley Bean was born in Los Angeles. She's a writer and director currently working on Dark Canyons, a digital noir series, set in Hollywood. Her other project currently in development is a feature, The Labyrinth, a psychological thriller set in Catalina based on the Myth of Ariadne.
Her work as a director and photographer has been featured on Vice, IFC, Pitchfork, Purple.fr, and Oyster. Her television screenplay, Savage Garden, was selected as a finalist at the International Austin Film Festival.
She was recently selected to be one of eight directors of Evil Days, an omnibus feature film based on a contemporary adaptation of Bram Stoker's Dracula, produced by James Franco and Rabbit Bandini.
For 10 years she worked in film and television development for Brian DePalma, Sean Penn, Art Linson, Barry Levinson, Sydney Pollack, and Anthony Minghella.
